What Federation University told us they wanted

To support their progressive approach to education, Federation University sought a dynamic mix of furniture and spaces to foster collaboration, focused learning, and individual study. The brief called for robust, technology-integrated furniture solutions across four levels of new facilities.

How we acted on what we heard

Working closely with Conrad Gargett and the university, Castledex Queensland (Formerly Fuse Furniture) supplied a carefully curated family of Ocee & Four Design furniture. Central to the fitout was custom Henray modular seating in booth and curved layouts, integrated with power and data to encourage informal meetings and independent work. These were paired with a broad range of study settings, breakout areas, and tech-enabled spaces.
