Optus Stadium, a world-class 60,000-seat venue in Perth, was designed to host a diverse calendar of sporting and entertainment events while setting a new standard for stadium experiences in Australia.

What Multiplex told us they wanted.

Working closely with Multiplex and the State Government, the project team required a partner who could not only supply premium furniture but also manage the full FF&E package ensuring seamless delivery across back-of-house, media, and public-facing spaces. The scale was significant, with over 9,600 items and a complex, non-negotiable delivery timeline.

How we acted on what we heard.

Castledex was initially awarded a portion of the premium furniture in the Victory Lounge. Demonstrating our broader capability during the tender process, we were entrusted with supplying over 4,500 additional items across the entire back-of-house, ranging from workstations and media furniture to massage tables and prayer rugs.

As the project progressed, Multiplex invited Castledex to coordinate and deliver the entire FF&E scope. We collaborated with multiple suppliers, developed detailed logistics plans, held regular stakeholder meetings, and implemented RFID tagging across all items to support the State’s BIM model.

Inspired results

Our single-source approach ensured every item was delivered and installed on time. The stadium opened fully furnished and operational, ready to welcome thousands. Since completion, we’ve continued to support the operator, Venues Live, with ongoing furniture and logistics solutions.
