What WATC needed
WATC required a workplace that would project professionalism and confidence to visiting Government Officials and clients, while also supporting internal efficiency and employee wellbeing. The new design needed to reflect their enduring legacy and be future-focused with the flexibility to support Activity-Based Working (ABW) principles.
How we acted on what we heard
Castledex was entrusted with furnishing the revitalised space, working in collaboration with MKDC to complement the timeless, understated interior design. The reception area became a key focal point - an elegant, unmanned entry defined by handcrafted terracotta breeze blocks that subtly screen the meeting rooms from the waiting area.
We supplied a curated range of workpods and loose furniture to support various workstyles. The space’s colour palette, inspired by Western Australia's native flora, introduced a sense of calm and regional identity, enhancing the welcoming yet refined tone of the workplace.
Inspired results
The final environment reflects the WATC’s reputation for integrity and excellence. ABW readiness ensures future flexibility, while the aesthetic choices reinforce both function and identity. The project stands as a successful example of thoughtful design and seamless execution.
