Blå Station is not new to addressing issues such as sustainability, durability, and timelessness having focused on these factors in all designs since their birth in 1986. However, could all questions and demands be addressed in one product? Could one product be sustainable, recyclable, upgradeable, changeable, renewable, dismountable, traceable, serviceable, adaptable, and still lovable? ABLE is more than a chair, more than an armchair. It’s a multifunctional, yet concrete and honest character with components that are 100% recyclable – Blå Station proves they are ABLE!

“We have reduced and reduced and reduced down to the smallest detail”, says designer Stefan Borselius. The cast details in zinc give the completely stripped-down construction an expression of its own.

“ABLE is 100% separable, everything can be updated, changed or renewed”, underlines designer Thomas Bernstrand.
