Inspired by the high-performance sport of Ice Hockey, designers Stefan Borselius & Thomas Bernstrand conceived Honken. This model is the range’s most compact sibling from its Honken family.
A distinctively attractive armchair made of durable steel and expanded metal with Solid Oak legs. The frame and mesh basket is hand welded and comprised of 30mm tubing around the edge, a steel bottom plate and a basket of expanded metal making it extremely rigid and impact resistant. The design of Honken, in conjunction with its sturdy and durable materials, demonstrate an evident notion of longevity. Designed for Blå Station’s Experiment 2015 project – where the aim was to create “classics of the future” – the collection is made to be durable.
All cushions are filled with polyester foam and down and can be upholstered in fabric or leather with removable covers.
