When a lease ends or a fitout is refreshed, furniture almost always ends up in landfill. Not because it's worn out, but because binning it is easier than the alternative.

/matter exists to change that. It takes the same skills behind our /made range, hand upholstery, CNC fabrication, frame repair, and puts them to work restoring, rehoming and responsibly recycling commercial furniture.

We manufacture from scratch, so refurbishment was never going to be an afterthought for us. It's the same craft. Just a second chapter.
