Castledex was contracted by Christou Design to deliver the workstation design and office fit-out for the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation’s new headquarters at 1 William Street, Perth. The building is defined by its river-facing profile with extensive views overlooking Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River.

Our project team worked closely with the architect and our suppliers to custom design sit-stand workstations that incorporated an innovative screen solution that did not obstruct eyeline views.

We sourced the latest acoustic panel technology that allowed the pieces to be precision-cut and wrapped around the desktop’s curved edges. So that our solution met the client’s precise needs, we built and workshopped a workstation prototype to ensure the user requirements were met, before replicating all 350 workspaces.

Meticulous planning meant we could deliver to a tight construction program and design a solution that exceeded expectations.
